Impact of arts in our life
Music and the arts have played an important role in our family dating back several generations now, music and the arts have been a part of our family.
Our US-based family has radiated from South of Boston in Massachusetts. The initial Marchesiani family members arrived from Italy and settled into Quincy, MA. Over time they expanded into other parts of the South Shore of Massachusetts. Our generation primarily lived in Norwell, Hingham, and Hanover.
For many years our family was united by Push Cart Farm. This was the family vegetable farm. Today you can still experience our part of Hingham's history at the Marchesiani Farmlands Preserve. As the newer generation of Marchesiani's began to start families our size grew. Through these unions we had extended family members that were performing on stage in theater productions, attending design school, playing the banjo and accordion, and piano. And those that did not perform appreciated music and the arts. Based on these influences, the next generation took to the arts.
Our family has long been drawn to the ability for the arts to connect with an audience and make them feel, whether it be music, theater, dance, architecture, or art & design, We wanted to make sure that as many people as possible had access to arts education and general exposure to them.
Here's to future generations of Marchesiani's that can continue the line of performance and artists!
